Small Children Allowed To Cycle On Pavements

Small children allowed to cycle on pavements

What are the rules? Is it always forbidden to cycle on paths and pavements? Since the traffic rules have been changed the answer is no, not always, and not for everyone.

Children up to the age of eight are now allowed to cycle on the pavement if there is not an appropriate cycle way. However, children older than eight, and adults, must continue to cycle on the road when there is not a cycle way.
